generator the music to make you feel better.

So I am now going to centre this blog on anglophilia. I know it has been for a while but it's time to just embrace it. I might as well just get it over with.

So american tv shows in production that are british shows.

1. The Thick of It. The British show is an amazing satire on a the british government and one of it's offices. Created by Armando Iannucci who also did The Day Today and The Armando Iannucci Show (Just watched every episode amazing go on youtube and watch the clips especially Village Sniper). The American version of The Thick of It has Mitch Hurowitz is involved (Arrested Development). So it is going to be amazing and probably on the air for about a second. Will Arnett is also supposedly tied to it. This sounds amazing so spread the buzz now, god knows if this will ever happen.

2. The IT Crowd. Created by Graham Lineham who did Father Ted and Blackbooks. Good show, the laugh track can get to be too much though. Very standard sitcom but has a great cast including Richard Ayoade and Chris Morris and a guest appearance by Noell Fielding who I am growing more and more fond of. In short: AMAZING comedians. I really enjoy this show, so there is now an American version in the works. I can see this not working out too well. The best thing it has going for it is Richard Ayoade is going to in which is soooo bitter sweet because that means he isn't going to be in any more of the british version. Unless they filmed it already, which they might have because I believe the American version just went into production. Richard Ayoade is so cute, I wish I was working on that show.

You know what people are missing out on The Young Ones North Am. I have it all sorted out as an concept so I am not going to give you anymore hints so you can steal it, if you get me drunk though I will reveal entirely in mundane and painstaking detail.
I also have an idea for a Canadian version of an awesome British quiz show. What am I doing wasting my time at film school I should be wheeling and dealing.
Also what about Nathan Barley set in Montreal. I am just giving these away instead of just writing them in my new notebooks which I usually just jot quotes down in.

British Albums I am giving the once over

Little Man Tate - About What You Know
Bloc Party - A Weekend in the City
The View - Hats off to Buskers
The Rifles - No Love Lost
The Long Blondes - Someone to drive you home
and
The demos by The Twang on Myspace.

Lastly an open invite to anyone who wants to see the new Hugh Grant film, Music and Lyrics, on Feb 14.
And you know what else is going to be amazing the Brit Awards on CBC on february 15th. Russell Brand is hosting. Noel Gallagher told him is going to boo him. This is suppose to be the hippest Brits since, I guess 1996 which Jarvis Cocker danced across the stage while Michael Jackson sang.

If any of these facts are true that would be awesome I did minimal research and decided not too look anything up as I was writting them down. This is just the shit that circles in my noggin.
